OILSEEDS - SIMULTANEOUS DETERMINATION OF OIL AND WATER CONTENTS - METHOD USING PULSED NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE SPECTROMETRY

Defines a rapid method for determining the oil and moisture contents of commercial oilseeds, by means of a pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer. The method has been tested on rapeseed, and applies to rapeseed having a moisture content under 10%. Seeds with a higher moisture content must be dried before determining the oil content by pulsed NMR.
