This Standard sets out the method for the determination of coefficient of permeability for the flow of water through a remoulded specimen by a constant head method (see Note 1). The method is suitable for soils with a coefficient of permeability of down to about 10-8metres per second.

First published as AS 1289.F7.1-1984.
Revised and redesignated AS 1289.6.7.1-1999.
