This Standard specifies material and design requirements for silica glass beads with retroreflective properties and intended for use in road-marking materials. It applies to glass beads intended to improve the visibility of road-marking materials by reflecting the headlight beams of vehicles under night-time conditions.NOTES:1 Alternative methods of determining compliance with this Standard are given in Appendix A.2 Additional information on the types of glass beads available for use with road-marking materials is given in Appendix B.1
