Specifies two methods for calculating the loudness level of a complex sound in terms of a single number calculated from a spectrum analysis. Method A utilizes physical measurements obtained from spectrum analysis in terms of octave bands. Method B utilizes spectrum analysis in terms of one-third octave bands. This Standard is identical with and has been reproduced from ISO 532:1975.
