AS/NZS 4280.2:2023 adopts and modifies RTCM Standard 11010.4, which provides manufacturers, suppliers and testing facilities of 406 MHz personal locator beacons (PLBs) with the minimum radiofrequency and environmental requirements and associated test methods to enable design and confirmation of compliance with Australian and New Zealand radiofrequency spectrum and maritime and aviation regulatory requirements.
