This standard describes a method for measuring theoil that separates from a lubricating grease underthe conditions of test.
NOTE 1 - This method provides a guide to the behaviourof lubricating grease stored in can or drums. The methodis not intended to predict the oil separation tendencies ofthe grease under dynamic service conditions.
NOTE 2 - The method can be used for semi-fluid greasesbut the precision for these materials has not beenestablished.
