This standard specifies performance requirements and test methods for portable chemical closets.

It covers only those closets which may be used for the following applications:

camping sites, caravan sites and marinas;
caravans and motor caravans;
small boats;
remote facilities without access to other forms of drainage.

It does not cover closet installations in aircraft.
