Specifies requirements for surgical dressing scissors (straight and curved) with sharp points (including stitch scissors), blunt points or with one point sharp and one point blunt in a size range of 5 in (13 cm), 5½ in (14 cm), 6 in (15 cm) and 7 in (18 cm) nominal lengths. The specification includes a cutting test to evaluate the performance of the scissors.
