Dimensional and accuracy requirements for non-topping single start right handed and left handed hobs used in the manufacture of spur and helical gears in accordance with BS 436-2. Dimensional requirements apply to monobloc hobs only, however the accuracy requirements may be used for monobloc or inserted tooth hobs.
