Covers the preparation and use of semi-adiabatic calorimeters for measuring the absorbed dose in graphite, water, or polystyrene when irradiated with electrons. Calorimeters can be transported by a conveyor past a scanned electron beam or are stationary in a broadened beam. Coverage also includes the use of calorimeters to calibrate dosimeter systems in electron beams meant for radiation processing applications.
