This European Standard applies to motor-driven or magnetically controlled electric tools intended for indoor or outdoor use, such as: • easily moved by a person even by means of simple devices to facilitate transport; • to be used in a fixed and secure position, with or without fasteners; • to be used under the control of the operator; • not intended for continuous production or series production; • with a maximum rated voltage not exceeding 250 V in single-phase, AC or DC or 440 V in three-phase, AC; • with a rated power not exceeding 2500 W, for single-phase AC or DC appliances, and 4000 W in three-phase AC.
