This document specifies the performance and material requirements, also the qualification approval procedure re the production of specialized armour-quality steel castings which is not covered by Def Stan 95-25. Covers in particular, procurement of armour castings which superior ballistic qualities are required, or and where through-section hardening achieved by oil-quenching or air-cooling.
