Establishes the degree to which water-soluble surfactants can be degraded or eliminated in municipal waste water treatment plants. Although the method was developed for water-soluble surfactants that can be determined by specific or non-specific analyses, it is also applicable to other water-soluble organic substances which have a low vapour pressure.
