This standard is included in DIN Handbook 479. Curometry is the study of the vulcanization process in cross-linkable rubber mixes. Specifies design features of instruments employed in curometry, namely curemeters, and the requirements which such instruments shall meet. DIN 53529 Part 2 specifies a method of determining vulcanization characteristics and of evaluating cross-linking isotherms in terms of reaction kinetics and DIN 53529 Part 3 deals with the determination of cross-linking behaviour with the aid of rotorless curemeters.
