Diese Norm legt die Eigenschaften von festen Steckverbindern mit Mutternbefestigung in der Familie der elektrischen Rundsteckverbinder mit Schraubkupplung fest. Sie gilt für die in Tabelle 4 festgelegte Klasse. Hinsichtlich der für diesen festen Steckverbinder verwendbaren Kontakte, Blindstecker und rückseitigen Zubehörteile siehe EN 2997 002. Hinsichtlich der freien Steckverbinder und Schutzkappen siehe EN 2997 008 bzw. EN 2997 009. In Bezug auf Ersatzmuttern und -O Ringe siehe EN 2997-012 bzw. EN 2997-013.
