Diese Internationale Norm definiert Prüfeinrichtungen und Verfahren, die empfohlen werden zur Messung des passiven Intermodulationspegels der von koaxialen Kabel erzeugt wird, welche typischerweise als Speiseleitungen oder als Rangierleitungen für die Antennen drahtloser Kommunikationssysteme eingesetzt werden. Zweck dieser Norm ist, Prüfverfahren für die Qualifizierung und die Akzeptanz weit verbreiteter Koaxialkabel für Anwendungen mit geringer IM zu definieren. Zwei dynamische Prüfverfahren und ein statisches Prüfverfahren werden definiert. Diese Norm ist in Verbindung mit IEC 62037 anzuwenden.
