Proposes the adoption of IEC 61508-6:2000, which provides designers of safety lifecycle activities in systems comprised of electrical/electronic/programmable electronic devices with quidelines on the applications, calculations and methodologies as outlined in Part 2 and Part 3 of this Standard. Copies of IEC 61508-6:2000 can be purchased from or viewed at the Sydney Research and Information Centre of Standards Australia.
