Proposes the adoption of ISO/DIS 19011, to provide guidance on the conduct of internal or external quality and/or environmental management audits, and on the management of audit programs. The draft makes provision for joint audits, combined audits and integrated management systems. It introduces a competency-based approach to auditor qualification and the establishment of audit teams. Proposed as a joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
