Proposes the adoption of ISO/IEC 13818-1:2000 and Technical Corrigendum 1:2002, which specifies the systems layer of the coding. It was developed principlally to support the combination of the video and audio coding methods defined in Part 2 and 3 of ISO/IEC 13818. Copies of ISO/IEC 13818-1:2000 and Corr.1:2002 text can be viewed at or purchased from Standards Australia or Standards New Zealand head office. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
