Proposes the adoption of IEC/TS 60825-6:1999 as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard to provide requirements, a hazard categorization scheme and specific guidance for the safe use of visible optical sources that are within the scope of AS/NZS 2211.1, but used exclusively for transmission of information to the human eye. A copy of IEC/TS 60825-6 may be purchased from or viewed at Standards Australia offices or Standards New Zealand.
