Proposes the adoption of ISO 6055:1979 as an Australian Standard to replace Clause 7.6 onwards of AS 2359.1-1985. This proposed Standard specifies the requirements and testing for overhead guards designed to protect the operator from falling objects, but not from the impact of a falling load. A copy of ISO 6055:1979 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office.
