Proposes the adoption of IEC 1259:1994 as an Australian Standard. It provides test requirements for gas-insulated metal-enclosed disconnectors used to switch small capacitive currents (no load currents) such as occur when sections of busbars or grading capacitors are energized or de-energized. Copies of IEC 1259:1994 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office.
