Proposes the adoption of ISO/IEC 7498-1:1994 which specifies a common basis for the coordination of standards development for the purpose of systems interconnection, while allowing existing standards to be placed in perspective within the overall Reference Model. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
