Proposes requirements which are intended to ensure that certification bodies operate third-party certification/registration systems in a consistent and reliable manner, thereby facilitating their acceptance on a national and international basis. Identical with and reproduced from ISO/IEC Guide 62:1996. Guide 62 is currently available in Austrlia and New Zealand as the Handbook, SAA/SNZ HB18.62:1996. It is now proposed to publish it as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard suitable for use by accreditation and certification bodies in both countries.
