Proposes the adoption of an ISO/IEC TR 11172-5:1998, which provides a C language software simulation of an encoder and decoder for AS/NZS 4230.1, AS/NZS 4230.2 and AS/NZS 4230.3. The complete text can be purchased from or viewed at the Sydney Information centre of Standards Australia or at Standards New Zealand. Proposed as a Joint Australian New Zealand Standard.
