Proposes the adoption of ISO 140-9:1985 which provides a laboratory method of measuring the airborne sound insulation of a suspended ceiling with a plenum of defined height mounted above an acoustical barrier which separates two rooms of a specified test facility. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard. Copies of ISO 140-9:1985 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office or Standards New Zealand.
