Proposes the adoption of IEC 60155:1993 and Amend.1:1995 which together specify general and safety requirements and performance requirements for glow-starters for fluorescent lamps. Also proposes the inclusion of requirement for ignitability and combustion propagation. A copy of IEC 60155 with Amend.1 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office or Standards New Zealand. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand to supersede AS 3138 and AS 4111 two years after publication of this proposed Standard.
