This document specifies an instrumental method for the routine determination of pH within the range pH2 to pH12 using a glass electrode in a 1:5 (volume fraction) suspension of soil, sludge and treated biowaste in either water (pHin H2O), in 1mol/l potassium chloride solution (pHinKCl) or in 0,01mol/l calcium chloride solution (pHin CaCl2).This document is applicable to all types of air-dried soil and treated biowaste samples.NOTE For example, pretreated in accordance with ISO11464 or EN16179 or EN15002.
