This standard prescribes the general procedures and design of equipment for determining the thermal conductivity of dry samples of thermal insulating materials, provided that: a) the materials are sufficiently uniform with regard to their aggregates and pores; and b) the thermal conductivity of the material does not exceed 1.5 W/mK.
