This specification covers a flanged, one-way, quick-closing valve for fuel oil up to 600 pounds per square inch (lb/in2) (41 bar) at ambient temperature and auxiliary steam service at 600 lb/in2 (41 bar) and 775 °F (413 °C), for emergency shutdown use aboard naval vessels.
