Applicable to insulating gloves and mitts made of plastic or elastomer for use without over-gloves for mechanical protection. The term "glove" includes both mitts and gloves. Intended to be used for working live or close to live parts at nominal voltages up to 7500 V a.c (or 11 250 V d.c) Detailed information is not available yet for other voltages. 3 classes of gloves differing in electrical characteristics are provided and are designated Class 00, class 0, class 1. Additional data is necessary for Class 2, 3, and 4. 5 categories differing in properties related to acid, oil, ozone and a combination of all are provided and designated as A,H,Z and P respectively and also extreme low temperature designated Category C.
