This document provides guidelines to help suppliers and manufacturers understand the requirements related to the Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 interfaces. It defines a set of test guidelines (that may be augmented over time) that suppliers and manufacturers may utilize if they wish to help evaluate conformance to the ADSI specifications. Implementation of the Analog Display Services Interface in the telephone network requires that switches and servers that will be communicating with ADSI-compliant Customer Premises Equipment conform to the ADSI generic requirements.
