Describes and defines Bellcore's view of the generic requirements for MDR service that shall be provided by switching systems. By so doing, this FSD becomes basic information for the MDR feature. In addition, this FSD describes the data that shall be collected and transmitted to the MDR customer for the customer's use of circuit switched features. It is not the intent of this FSD to describe the format of the transmitted data, nor the transmission medium (i.e. data link, AMA stream, etc.) These subjects are covered in other FSDs.
