FEATURE GROUP B FSD 20-24-0300
30-06-2000
12-01-2013
Feature Group B (FGB) access is being expanded to provide a uniform 950-XXXX code to reach carriers that have trunk-side interconnection to BOC switches. This reissue of Feature Specific Document, FSD 20-24-0300 modifies the format of the access code (formerly 950-WXXXx, where W + 0 or 1) and provides for a transition to the expanded format. The affected switching systems must be updated to handle FGB 950-XXXX calls as described in this FSD in time for anticipated service in the first quarter of 1991. The transitional capability between FGB and Feature Group D (FGD) described in FSD 20-24-000 is not retained as part of this expansion. The prior linkage between FGB and FGD code assignments is being discontinued as this change is introduced.
