This standard establishes the specifications and test methods for self-supporting lightweight insulating sandwich panels with a core of insulating material and double covering (at least one of them non-metallic), being the insulating core a thermal insulating product or products included in any of the Standards UNE-EN 13162 to UNE-EN 13171, both inclusive.This standard applies to self-supporting insulating sandwich panels intended for the construction of roofs, facades, floor slabs, horizontal and vertical interior partitions of buildings.This standard does not specify the necessary level that a certain property of the product must reach in order to demonstrate its suitability for a particular application. Sandwich panels with two metallic faces whose specifications and test methods are included in the Standard UNE-EN 14509, or in the future Standard UNE 92195-2 "Thermal insulation products. Lightweight insulating sandwich panels with at least one non-metallic face. Part 2: Load-bearing" .
