Develops recommended standard methods of rating performance including: - Descriptive data (information on type, function, configuration, and operating limits of the device, etc). - Operating and performance characteristics including steady state and dynamic operating characteristics. - Methods of performance measurement. - Graphic means for uniformly presenting the data. - Data of value for control system design. It provides a recommended standard containing the information needed to permit uniform determination of a device's suitability as to impedance matching, output rating, sensitivity and recommends techniques ensuring uniformity in test data.
