This Standard sets out a method for the securing and testing of cylindrical cores from hardened concrete for the determination of compressive strength for an estimate of the inûservice strength of a structure or part thereof.NOTE: Because of the increased variability associated with core strengths, it is not recommended that concrete cores be used for direct quality control purposes.
