Sets out a spectrophotometric method for the determination of copper in iron and steel in the range 0.02 percent to 5 percent. The method is technically equivalent to ISO 4946, Steel and cast iron - Determination of copper content - Spectrophotometric method, and will supersede AS K1, Methods for the analysis of iron and steel, Part 17-1961, Copper in iron and steel (Absorptiometric method).
