Sets out a spectrophotometric method for the determination of nickel content of iron and steel in the range 0.1 to 4 percent. The method is technically equivalent to ISO 4939, Steel and cast iron - Determination of nickel content - Spectrophotometric method, and will supersede AS K1, Part 19-1963, Nickel present in small amounts of carbon and low alloy steel (Photometric method).
