Applies to slings having a breaking load of not less than 240, 120 or 60 kN/dm width. It also applies to endless, single-part or double-part slings with an eye at each end, and single-part or double-part slings with a terminal attachment at each end. Materials lifting capacity (safe working load), manufacture and testing are specified. Types of slings are illustrated and recommendations for care, maintenance and use are given in appendices.
