Applies to one-piece and two-piece type rectangular culverts used for conveying water not under pressure and for carrying highway vehicle loadings, installed with the top under a height of fill not exceeding 1600 mm inclusive of pavement if any. Materials, dimensions and tolerances, marking, inspection and testing are specified, with test procedures in appendices.

This specification applies to precast reinforced concrete rectangular culverts for conveying water not under pressure, and for carrying highway vehicle axle loadings permitted by Australian Road Authorities.
