This Standard specifies requirements for frictioned surface transmission belting, i.e. fabric belting possessing no distinct cover other than that imparted to the fabric by impregnation.WARNING: BELTING MADE TO THIS STANDARD MAY NOT NECESSARILY BE ELECTRICALLY INSULATED AT ANY STAGE OF ITS LIFE AND SHALL NOT THEREFORE BE USED AS AN INSULATOR FOR ELECTRICAL WORK.NOTES:1 Appendix A gives alternative means for demonstrating compliance with this Standard.2 Appendix B contains recommendations and advice on information which should be provided by the purchaser at the time of inquiry or order.
