Specifies requirements for electroplated coatings of zinc on iron or steel for protection against corrosion; it excludes threaded fasteners, coil springs and sheet, strip or wire in the unfabricated form. Provision is made for chromate conversion coatings and procedures for heat treatment for relief of stress and hydrogen embrittlement.
