​Specifies washers suitable for use in normal, over-the-thread applications, and also for use as a washer component of a screw and captive washer assembly. It covers single coil helical spring washers intended for assembly with threaded fasteners with metric coarse pitch series threads only, in a diameter range 3-36 mm for over-the-thread applications and 3-10 mm for captive applications. It gives dimensional, material, mechanical property, finish and testing requirements, and also testing procedures for washers suitable for both left and right hand screw threads.
