AS 2096-1977

Describes a system of classification for Australian hard coals.. The classification is primarily intended for commercial and industrial use and is based on the grouping of coals according to properties which can be readily determined in most laboratories in Australia that deal with coal analysis. It provides an adequate differentiation of most coal supplies required for industrial and commercial purposes. This Standard is not intended to replace scientific classifications.
