Sets out a procedure for the determination of density of bituminous materials using a hydrometer. This method is applicable to low viscosity materials (1.0Pa.s or less at the temperature of test) which contain a negligible amount of highly volatile materials.

It has a particular application for road tars and cutback bitumens.
