It is strongly recommended that these provisions be adhered to in all cases, unless there are good reasons for departing from them.This Standard does not specify dimensional requirements for either shafts or couplings.NOTE: The term 'manufacturers' includes the supplier when the user does not deal directly with the manufacturers; the term 'users' includes the system designer when the end user is not the designer of the system.
