Specifies requirements for halon 1211 - Bromochlorodiflouromethane and halon 1301 - Bromotriflouromethane for use as a fire extinguishing media. It is identical with and has been reproduced from ISO 7201-1:1989.

This part of ISO 7201 specified requirements for the following halogenated hydrocarbons for use as fire extinguishing media:a) halon 1211 [bromochlorodifluoromethane (CF2CIBr)];b) halon 1301 [bromotrifluoromethane (CF3Br)].This part of ISO 7201 does not deal with the conditions of use of these products in fire fighting equipment. Such equipment (portable fire extinguishers, fixed installations, etc.) will be dealt with in future International Standards.
