Applies to apparatus connectors (inlet-sockets and inlet-plugs) intended to form detachable connections between portable electrical appliances and flexible cords for the operation of such appliances at voltages not exceeding 250 voltolts. The specifcation does not apply, however, to connecting sockets and plugs which are incorporated in appliances for the purpose of interconnecting parts of such appliances except where it is specifically stated in an individual specification for an appliance that it is to apply to any connector forming part thereof.
