This specification applies to quick-connect tab and receptacle connectors, in the sizes intended for general use in electrical equipment, for connection in alternating and direct current circuits at low and medium boltages. An Appendix includes information relating to smaller size tab and receptacle connectors, which, although not considered suitable for general use in electrical equipment, are commonly used in telecommunication and similar applications. The data in the appendix is intended as advisory only.
